PARIS 2002

PARIS 2002

I feel fortunate that I was able to capture one of the rarest shots imaginable : one where Paris isn’t posing in front of the camera.

I took this picture of Paris Hilton behind the scenes at a fashion show in LA many years ago. I was at the event shooting pictures for a Swedish vodka company that was sponsoring the after-party.   Paris was doing a wardrobe change and being swarmed by photographers. It was so crowded I didn’t have time to look or focus.  I just held the camera out and took a shot.  Usually that doesn’t work – but this time it did.  Either way, luck like that only happens with any consistency for those who also practice their craft seriously. I love this picture because of the way it feels so revealing and intimate and and yet distant and mysterious at the same time. Not something you would necessarily expect from Paris Hilton.
